I worked in Labor and delivery for 14 months at Alaska Regional. I had to leave due to my husbands declining health . I loved my job at Alaska Regional. Medical staffing 6:1 step down staffing 4 or 5:1. Bad CNA ratios. Staff friendly and helpful but administration progressively making cuts, increasing ratios, and very frequently did not have phlebotomy or transport adequately staffed. I worked float pool for a year to step down unit was the worst and the emergency department nurses were always busy and miserable. Dialysis and wound care seems to like their jobs well enough
