4 nurses recommend working here
Pros
Core staff are kind Opportunities to teach Cares about the safety of the staff Cost of Living in Tucson Flexible scheduling w/o use of RTO Teaching hospital w/ Dr's. that can be open to suggestions when they make sense
Cons
Charge Nurses usually in count with high ratios 3-5 Lots of new nurses, opportunities for teaching Older hospital that lacks some "luxury items" The city is filled with construction and POTHOLES High acuity with high patient ratios

Pros
2 days of orientation for travelers. Alaris pumps and cerner charting. Acute side of ER is a 4 to 1 patient ratio. ER nurses don’t get floated. They have a “REPP” side in ER which is less acute patients who are not on cardiac monitoring and it’s basically just tasking for 12 hours. They’re very strict on making sure everybody gets a lunch.
Cons
Night shift is cliquey but they’re all really great about helping each other out

Great people to work with and travelers come back regularly. Will see a lot of prisoners the state prison(Prisontown USA, look it up). If you're not used to being in a secluded small town working in a hospital with limited resources, you should look elsewhere. Can be busy for the size at times but not too bad. I would go back if a contract came back up.
