<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Jun 15, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Lexington, KY, requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications on a night shift schedule.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting providing 24/7 emergency care for patients of all ages</li><li>The ED includes specialty rooms, an Extended Care Unit for observation, and 24-hour EMS/ALS support</li><li>Night shift schedule: 7p–7a, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)</li><li>13-week travel contract</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required</li><li>Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, TNCC, and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation</li><li>Minimum education: ADN or ASN (BSN preferred)</li><li>Previous nursing experience preferred but not required</li><li>Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures</li><li>Proficiency with computer systems and clinical applications, or ability to be trained</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Implements evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care across all four phases of the nursing process</li><li>Responsibilities include patient assessments, care planning, treatment coordination, and family education</li><li>Facilitates admission, transfer, and discharge activities including timely execution of discharge orders</li><li>Delegates tasks appropriately and monitors care provided by other team members</li><li>Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation audits</li><li>This position is intended to cover staffing needs during an orientation and training period — first-time travelers are welcome to apply</li></ul>
