Very old hospital and old mentalities. Rude doctors who will treat you poorly and yell because you dared to throw off suction tubing in a way they didnt like. Current OR manager displays racists, sexist attitudes that are supported by OR staff. Failure to properly do surgical counts is common, scrubs cutting sponges, not having modern instrumentation (or only 1 set), they will call you in to do a hemi hip fx at 11pm on a Sat - THIS IS A TRAUMA 3 hospital but they are trying to bring the hospital out of financial ruin and will run their staff ragged. General surgeon who will load his day with a dozen cases and go til midnight. Safety is the bare minimum. Failure to properly wait for prep to dry, rush rush rush the day with no regard for anything. If you are the OR managers friend - feel free to call out sick if you want to go fishing. If you're not then remember, they "hold travelers to a higher standard". (Actual thing that happened and words that were said to me).

Tenuous work environment, non-supportive administration and inompetent physicians. It's a scary place to work. Staff who work there permanent say to load them up and take them to a different hospital if they get sick.
