Parking sucks. You get 5-6 patients (never more than 6 but usually 6). A lot of acuity and hall patients. They favor male nurses. The bonus is the accommodate schedules pretty well! Nice people.

I started off feeling so excited to work here. After being an LPN for 31 years this was a great opportunity to re-enter acute care. But… I was not set up for success. The (LPN) nurses there mostly have little or zero  experience and the managers allow them to create a hierarchy. I was sick to my stomach before coming to work every shift and made to feel like I was less competent than the rest of them(I didn’t mention I’ve mainly worked in patient hospital settings!) It was never the large patient load or heavy work flow that bothered me. It was how I was made to feel. I wish that on no one.

Ratios of 1-7/8 most nights with your charge nurse having their own assignment so they can’t give you support if needed.

As a radiologic technologist, I witnessed their employees set up one of The travelers to get fired. Luckily I witnessed the whole scenario and detective loses her job. I was told by one of the radiologic technologist that they didn't like travelers and we were the reason they were getting racist so they really don't want us here. So what I recommend working here as a radiologic technologist, probably not I wouldn't recommend it.

The staff at this facility is very nice. However, you have a seven to one patient ratio even on post surgical floors safety is definitely an issue.

Float Requirements: Float to Chestnut (ambulatory surgery)
On Call Requirements: 4 call shifts per month
Weekend and Holiday Requirements: One weekend per month and possible holiday 
Brief Unit Description: 
The Main OR is a level 1 trauma center requiring level 1 experience. It comprises 24 ORs in total, with specific allocations including:
- 5 dedicated to Cardiac and Vascular
- 2-4 for Total Joints
- 2 for Ortho Trauma
- 3-5 for Neuro/Spine
- 3 ORs for Robots 
The remaining ORs handle Trauma, General, GYN, and Plastics cases. The Main OR also covers Transplant and organ recovery. Operations run 24/7 with two teams overnight and a third team on call. Weekend coverage includes 4 teams on Saturday with a 5th team on call, and Sundays featuring 3 teams with a 4th team on call. On-call response time is 30 minutes.
