Pros
One of my favorite assignments. Staff is so friendly. low acuity for the most part but a n occasional critical care to balance it out. Good place to go if you're looking for something slower pace. Worked in the ER
Cons
very small town. very little to do. Close to virginia beach but traffic getting there through the tunnel is horrendous
Pros
Friendly staff, clean/nice department, good resources
Cons
No issues

Pros
Very nice small OR. Surgeons and staff are pleasant. Easy cases. A breath of fresh air when you come from a high trauma background. No vascular or neuro cases. Heavy ortho/total joints and robots and GYN. One weekend of call every 3 months. One weekday every week.
Cons
Schedule is usually done in 2 week increments which makes it hard to plan. There’s always a first and second scrub as well as an assistant and PA for most cases. They want everyone to stay in the room. A lot of micromanagement. I’m assuming because the place is so small, they have to find something to make dramatic.
