Super friendly staff at this busy Level 1 hospital in the center of Boston- you have to be there for at least one contract to get a decent schedule and doesn’t have many 10 hr shifts - no 12’s but allows 16’s which makes for a very over tired staff that makes the work load unfair

Would highly recommend working here as a traveler. Staff is wonderful, ratios are not too bad overall a good work environment despite the difficult patient population. Travelers are not allowed to do trauma, which can be frustrating at times since we need to continue to have that experience to maintain our skills as ER nurses.

Great hospital to learn out. The staff is friendly and willing to help.

I worked on their step down surgical unit for about a year. Great staff! Safe ratios. They do have med surg beds on the unit. You will always be 4:1 for those. Step down assignment is always 3:1. They are unionized. Scrubs any color. Fun group of coworkers! Beautiful city. Lots of support/resources. Located in a more impoverished part of the city. Next to a high homeless population. Just be safe commuting.

As a traveler they will float you more than your on your actual home unit and they will give you the combative patients every single shift. I got burnt out quick.
