2 nurses recommend working here
Pros
I’m a staff nurse here. Traveller friendly, love my unit at Atrium Shelby! Always a team environment & a great company to work for
Cons
I hear rates have dropped
Recommends working here
Pros
Traveler friendly, except you will be floated to other units and ed hold. Staff for the most part are friendly and helpful. You will have to "remind" techs and make sure they are doing their part of the charting and doing turns/changing incontinent patients (this was my biggest aggravation, no accountability when they didn't do what they were supposed too, unfortunately with 5-6 patients on medsurg i didn't have alot of extra time or i would have just done it myself).
Cons
Recently taken over by advocate Health, seems to be traveling away from patient focus and trying to mimic HCA's lean business model. They also started wanting you to fill out forms every shift, like multiple forms..and one is literally a checkoff sheet for the charting? It's epic, if everything is green checks and everything done on the shift flow sheet, everything should be done...They also had started wanting daily naked butt pics of the patients and uploaded to the chart, for pressure injury prevention...eek, that's borderline inappropriate in my opinion.
