So I worked step down at this facility… They do not have a wound care nurse, and they have a policy where they will send up ER patients and fax you a sheet… Sometimes the patients get there before you even get a report. And that’s fine if they’re stable but mine came to me coding… I felt my license was in danger here so I finished my contract and left. Also as a traveler they will give you the highest acuity patients instead of dispersing them between the RNs from one nurse to another you can do it for three months… But it is stressful as fuck

If you don’t mind working at a facility with outdated policies or none at all then go for it. Majority of the doctors did exactly what they wanted and when they wanted. Nurses are disrespected and patient care is not safe. There is zero communication between the staff, the doctors or management of any sorts. 80% of the unit is travelers so that made for a fun screw and that’s the only reason this place gets any stars at all.

PCU - Progressive Care Unit

This facility does not have basic protocols in place for patient safety. The doctors talk to the nurses with disrespect and disdain. Some of the staff tries to make a difference, but overall the culture is terrible. Some staff work to get others fired, that they don’t like. Layoffs are happening within the current staff. It was a struggle to go to work everyday. I am not sure about the future of this facility.

Bare minimum

One of the worst facilities I have ever stepped foot in. No respect for the nurses, unsafe working environment, equipment that doesn’t work, no place to sit to chart amongst other things.

Highly recommend avoiding at all costs

People are great that you work with the administration is terrible that care nothing about your license
