Cath Lab Technologist - Cath Lab/IR Tech 221124920

Job Details:
• Work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, four days per week 
• Minimum 10 shifts required with minimum 2 weekends (1 IR and 1 Cardiac) 
• On-call responsibilities covering three campuses after hours and weekends with 30-minute response time 
• Must live within 50-mile radius and centrally located between three campuses 
• Float daily and on-call as needed between all three campuses 
• Work in versatile lab performing primarily IR with cardiac inpatient add-ons 
• Handle 4-5 cases per day on average in 3 suites/labs 
• Provide intra-procedural circulating, supplies, medication administration, and sedation 
• Treat patients with compression fractures, venous access, hydronephrosis, chest pain, PHTN, SOB, gastric ulcer, PE, DVT 
• Must have 3+ years hospital-setting cardiac cath/IR experience 
• Work with Siemens equipment and EPIC/Apollo cardiac charting system 
• Required certifications: RCIS, BLS, ACLS, ARRT 
• Dress code: Surgical greens 
• One week orientation including on-call buddy call training 
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination 
• Driver's license required at submittal 
• Holiday and call requirements apply

<h2>Job Description</h2>
 American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of recent cardiac cath/interventional radiology hospital experience and required national certifications.
 
 <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
 <ul><li>Work in a hospital-based interventional radiology and cardiac cath lab with 3 procedure suites</li><li>Care for adult patients with diagnoses such as compression fractures, venous access, hydronephrosis, chest pain, PHTN, SOB, gastric ulcer, PE, and DVT</li><li>Average caseload of 4-5 cases per day</li><li>Utilize Siemens lab equipment with EPIC and Apollo cardiac charting</li><li>Day shift: 07:00-17:30, 4 days per week; guaranteed 40 hours per week</li><li>Daily and on-call floating to 3 campuses as needed</li><li>Minimum 10 weeknight call shifts and at least 2 weekend calls (1 IR, 1 Cardiac) per contract</li><li>30-minute call response time to home campus, with prompt response to other campuses</li><li>Duties include intra-procedural circulating, supply management, medication administration, sedation, and support for STEMI cases up to IABP stabilization</li><li>Work primarily in a versatile IR lab with cardiac procedures as inpatient add-ons</li><li>Wear surgical green scrubs while on duty</li><li>One week orientation includes on-call buddy experience</li><li>Artificial nails are not permitted in any patient care area</li><li>Radiation badge provided</li><li>Holiday and on-call coverage required as scheduled</li><li>Requested time off must be submitted upfront with limit of 7 days per contract; additional time off is not permitted</li></ul>

 <ul><li>Minimum 2 years recent cardiac cath/interventional radiology experience in hospital setting</li><li>Current ARRT or RCIS credential required</li><li>Active BLS and ACLS certifications required</li><li>National license required if applicable; active state or compact licensure for assignment state required at time of consideration</li><li>Proficiency with EPIC EMR and Apollo cardiac charting</li><li>Driver’s license required to verify residence and eligibility for travel assignment</li><li>Must live at least 50 miles from the facility and may not currently be employed in any capacity by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity</li><li>Must submit two professional references: one supervisor within past 12 months and one peer or supervisor within past 3 years</li></ul>
