      <p>American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for the Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool with strong PICU experience and required BLS and PALS certifications in Washington, DC.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool within a teaching Magnet hospital</li><li>Float between NICU, PICU, and CVPICU as needed</li><li>Patient ratios are typically 1:1 or 1:2; may be 1:3 when floating to NICU</li><li>Patients may include all pediatric ages with no age cutoff</li><li>Shift options include four 12-hour night shifts (19:00-07:30) or day shifts (07:00-19:30)</li><li>Weekend work is required every other weekend with potential for block scheduling</li><li>No on-call is required for this position</li><li>Cerner is used for charting</li><li>Float as needed among all critical care pediatric units to support patient care needs</li><li>Pre-employment online modules must be completed prior to orientation and are self-reported</li><li>Only child-friendly, logo-free scrubs are permitted, with no color specification</li><li>One guaranteed holiday off; additional holidays off based on facility needs</li><li>No restrictions for local candidates, with no mileage radius requirements</li><li>Return staff must have been separated from prior employment for a minimum of one year to be eligible</li><li>Non-smoking facility with zero tolerance for tobacco use anywhere onsite</li><li>Compliance documents are due the Monday prior to start date</li></ul>

      <ul><li>Active DC RN license required or pending DC RN license with proof of application and pending status; active license must be obtained before start</li><li>Minimum 2 years of recent PICU or CVPICU experience required</li><li>Current BLS and PALS certifications required</li><li>Strong pediatric critical care experience with comfort floating between CVPICU, NICU, and PICU</li><li>First-time travelers are accepted</li><li>Must provide professional references upon request</li></ul>
