Covenant Children’s is part of Covenant Health, which has served West Texas and eastern New Mexico for nearly 100 years. We are also the only licensed freestanding children's hospital in Lubbock and the surrounding area.

Covenant Children’s has evolved and grown over the years. The facility that began as St. Mary’s Hospital was later renamed Covenant Medical Center – Lakeside, and as of 2017 was converted to the freestanding children's hospital - Covenant Children’s Hospital - that it is today.

We've grown from a 73 bed facility to having 227 licensed beds. Our team of talented caregivers have made Covenant Children’s the market leader for pediatric specialty care in the region.

      <p>American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Echo Technologist with at least 1 year of pediatric echocardiography experience and adult/pediatric echo certification.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Position is based in a children's hospital and Level II pediatric trauma center</li><li>Work as an echo tech/cardiac sonographer focused on pediatric and adult patients</li><li>Shift is 4x10 hour days from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM</li><li>Night and weekend call rotation is required; call is weekends only</li><li>Approximately 5 echo exams are performed per day</li><li>No floating between units is required for this role</li><li>Epic EMR experience is required</li><li>All travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state according to facility policy</li><li>Returning former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months and live more than 50 miles away to be eligible</li><li>Scrub color for technologists is Galaxy Blue or Royal Blue</li><li>Parking is free in any unrestricted area with bike racks available</li><li>Minimal to no RTO (requested time off) is preferred; substantial RTO may delay or hinder consideration</li><li>Holiday or schedule requests must be made prior to assignment confirmation and are not guaranteed</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Adult/pediatric echo certification is required; vascular certification is preferred</li><li>At least 1 year of pediatric echo experience is required</li><li>Minimum 2 years of overall experience unless otherwise noted</li><li>References must include at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of recent employment in a comparable specialty</li><li>Must provide SS card, driver's license, COVID, and flu documentation for consideration</li><li>Epic EMR experience is required</li><li>License required if applicable</li></ul>
