Covenant Children’s is part of Covenant Health, which has served West Texas and eastern New Mexico for nearly 100 years. We are also the only licensed freestanding children's hospital in Lubbock and the surrounding area.

Covenant Children’s has evolved and grown over the years. The facility that began as St. Mary’s Hospital was later renamed Covenant Medical Center – Lakeside, and as of 2017 was converted to the freestanding children's hospital - Covenant Children’s Hospital - that it is today.

We've grown from a 73 bed facility to having 227 licensed beds. Our team of talented caregivers have made Covenant Children’s the market leader for pediatric specialty care in the region.

<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 4x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 48 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Jul 27, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is seeking a travel CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week assignment at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center children's hospital in Texas.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Children's hospital setting at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 beds</li><li>CT Scan unit with a patient ratio of 1:5</li><li>Pediatric acute care and trauma patient population</li><li>Uses Siemens CT scanner and Epic EMR</li><li>7-day block schedule running Thursday through Wednesday: 4x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) Thursday through Sunday, and 3x10-hour day shifts (9:00 AM–7:00 PM) Monday through Wednesday</li><li>Weekend shifts required (Saturday and Sunday)</li><li>No on-call required</li><li>No floating between units within this assignment</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience</li><li>Pediatric acute care and trauma experience preferred</li><li>Proficiency with Siemens CT scanner</li><li>Epic EMR experience required</li><li>Active TX license required if applicable</li><li>ARRT (CT) certification required</li><li>Current BLS certification required</li><li>Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting</li><li>Full SSN and DOB required for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Travelers may be expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment</li><li>Former permanent employees of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility</li><li>Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position</li><li>Scrub color for this role follows facility guidelines — confirm applicable color upon placement</li><li>Free parking available in any unrestricted space; bike racks also available</li></ul>
