I worked in the PACU at Fawcett Memorial.  Coworkers were all the were no beds available. helpful. Just the corporation, management questionable practices,  sending inappropriate patients to this unit, such as ER fresh stroke patients that needed watching because

This was my first nursing travel contract. I’ve been an ICU nurse for over 6 years. I took this job, working nights. In the total of the 9 weeks (because that’s how long I lasted before I broke my contract) I worked in the ICU 2 times. Other than that I was floated to med surg and tele. Terrible system and hospital. HCA has cut so many corners here and it’s so sad to see patients receive terrible care because of how they treat their staff. Patients on tele should be monitored at the nursing station and by tele. But no if a patient were in a different rhythm they would call you to let you know. It’s wild that I couldn’t see that my patient was having afib but had to be told by a tele tech. Patients who were post op from total hearts on tele floors with chest tubes and nurses who didn’t know what to do with them… it was terrible. DO NOT WORK HERE
