Intentionally keep staffing low so they can profit. Some nurses are forced to take 7 to 8 patients and charge some time to take up to 10 patients due to staffing issues. Low pay. Can't retain any pca's, so nurses are by them selves and are penalized if they aren't able to handle whatever load they get. Some managers are great and do what little upper management allows them to do, but others are just horrible and don't have any business being in a leadership position
