Job Summary

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland. Must have 3-5 years of experience practicing as a registered nurse in a hospital, infusion clinic, or a home health setting. Previous experience in an outpatient infusion center and certification from the Oncology Nursing Society preferred. CPR certification required.

Supports the Mission of Frederick Health and complies with the health system's Code of Conduct.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Independently provides safe and effective patient care to patients during the course of their treatment.

Uses nursing process to determine care needs, develops a plan to address those needs and achieve desired outcome.

Assess the patient for learning needs and provides education to support as indicated

Appropriately and timely, communicates and contacts the ordering physician to address patient issues/concerns.

Works with Nurse Navigation team, Support Services and Financial Counselor to ensure that the patient receives appropriate support while receiving treatment.

IV insertion/central line skills and comprehension of nursing clinical practice

Teamwork and collaboration with the clinical team. Exhibits courtesy, compassion, and respect to internal and external customers and coworkers

Works effectively in a changing environment; displays a positive work attitude; handles multiple demands and priorities.

Demonstrates that they are an effective team player who adds complementary skills and contributes valuable ideas, opinions, and feedback.

Communicates in an open and candid manner and can be counted upon to fulfill any commitments made to others on the team.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent customer service skills required. Pleasant, caring, professional personality.
* Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality related to employee and patient information.
* Demonstrates sensitivity to patients, including effective telephone and verbal communication in emergency situations.
* Ability to work independently, as well as in a team based environment
* Performs other duties as assigned
