I’ve loved working here but it’s the worst place to do portables as an X-ray tech. The nurses don’t put sheets under the patients, so their bodies are right against the plastic mattress, which then requires the tech and nurses to lift the patients more and pushing X-ray plates behind patients without sheets increases your chances of messing up your shoulders and back sooooo much because those plates don’t slide against those mattresses at all. And then most of the nurses here don’t want to even help the X-ray tech with lifting their own patients to put the plate behind them… it’s a disaster waiting to happen. Just putting a fitted sheet on the bed and couple chucks under the patient can really reduce injury to your employees but the nurses won’t even do that.
