the most traveler unfriendly unit i’ve ever worked on. the nurses were so bitter, jaded and burnt out. complained all the time. gave the traveler the “heaviest assignment” because “you’re making the most money”. the manager knows nothing about l&d so don’t ask her any questions about the policies. literally would never recommend this unit to anyone, especially a newer traveler. they will leave you out to drown, thankfully, i swim just fine on my own. very “mean girl” culture, even with new staff nurses. very unfriendly and unprofessional group of women.

Job Details:
• Work day shifts with 4/10 schedule (four 10-hour shifts) 
• Minimal call requirements (holidays and 3-day holiday weekends only) 
• Pre-scheduled shifts with some flexibility for self-scheduling 
• No weekend requirement 
• Holiday on-call as needed 
• Perform pre, post, and intra-procedural patient monitoring 
• Assist with placement of lines, tubes, and drains 
• Start IVs as required 
• Handle 4-6 procedures per day on average 
• Work with 2 scanners/rooms in the department 
• No floating to other areas required 
• IR work experience required 
• BLS (AHA) certification required, ACLS preferred 
• BSN degree not required 
• Use EPIC charting system and Change (McKesson) PACS 
• Work with Siemens and GE equipment 
• Blue scrubs provided 
• Department-specific orientation provided 
• Cancellation policy allows up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
