No sectretary or nursing assistant in pacu . Phone is always ringing off the hook and the nurses have to answer, who are extremely busy .  Nurses have to transport their own patients. No transport service . Most bariatric and orthopedic patients are discharged home and spend hours in the pacu.  Inpatients wait up to 12 hours for a bed.  Most beds are assigned after 7 pm.   Very stressful assignment

No support in pacu

This was probably one of the worst assignments I accepted.  Hostile personnel, lack of experienced personnel, many staff members were unwilling to share knowledge, and equipment was scattered throughout the facility.  You were basically just  left to your own devices and managers seemed annoyed by being asked pertinent questions.  Poor, poor, communication.  You really need to send only expereinced nurses and they need to know in advance that it may be a tough assignment.
