<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Aug 31, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Neuro Stepdown RN with MS/Tele experience and current Epic charting proficiency for a night shift assignment.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Work on a Neuro/Surgical Telemetry Stepdown unit</li><li>Care for neuro and surgical patients requiring stepdown-level telemetry monitoring</li><li>Typical patient ratio of 1:4-5</li><li>Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 1845-0715</li><li>No on-call responsibilities</li><li>May be required to float to other MS/Tele units or low-acuity ICU</li><li>Weekend requirement of 3 shifts per 4-week schedule</li><li>Holiday coverage required as assigned</li><li>Uses Epic charting system</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active RN license (TN or Compact) required</li><li>Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required</li><li>Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience required</li><li>Epic charting experience within the last 12 months required</li><li>Travel experience preferred</li><li>Must pass Epic competency exam prior to starting assignment</li><li>Candidates requiring respirator fit testing must be clean-shaven</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide nursing care for neuro/surgical telemetry patients including CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, and traumatic brain injury cases</li><li>Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and respond to rapid response/code team activations</li><li>Manage central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral IV access as needed</li><li>Provide respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care</li><li>Administer medications per heparin and IV insulin protocols</li><li>Perform wound care and manage wound vac therapy as needed</li><li>Local candidates and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate</li><li>No block scheduling or special schedule requests can be accommodated</li></ul>
