<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Sep 1, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring OR RN licensure and specialty experience in C-section circulating and scrub roles.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting</li><li>Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM</li><li>Every 3rd weekend rotation required</li><li>Holiday coverage required between Labor Day and Thanksgiving</li><li>Floating required within the site and across the health system as requested</li><li>Uses Epic EMR system</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active or in-process Oregon State RN license required, with proof of application and fingerprinting if not yet active</li><li>1 year of Labor and Delivery specialty experience required</li><li>2 years of overall RN experience preferred</li><li>C-section circulating and scrub experience required</li><li>Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP Advanced</li><li>Fetal Monitoring certification required (AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, or Relias Fetal Heart Monitoring)</li><li>Epic EMR experience required, including completion of an Epic Test-Out Module upon starting</li><li>Prior Charge Nurse experience preferred</li><li>One professional reference required from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager, preferably within the last year</li><li>No felony convictions accepted</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide comprehensive Labor and Delivery care including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum management</li><li>Perform circulating and scrub duties for C-sections and assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries</li><li>Manage fetal monitoring including external and internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement, and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns</li><li>Administer medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and other obstetric-specific drugs</li><li>Provide newborn care including APGAR scoring, neonatal resuscitation, and thermoregulation</li><li>Care for patients with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, placenta previa, and preterm labor</li><li>Must complete any assigned education within one week of starting the assignment</li><li>Refusal to float as requested will result in contract cancellation</li><li>Low census mandatory cancellation requires notice 1.5 hours before shift start, with one shift per two-week pay period cancellable without cause</li><li>Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from any Legacy facility to be considered for this travel position</li><li>Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment</li><li>Former Legacy staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler</li><li>First-time travelers are not required for this position</li></ul>
