<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 4x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 48 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Nov 9, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring at least 2.5 years of Level II trauma center experience and a CA RN license.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Work in a combined Adult/Pediatric Emergency Department within a Level II Trauma Center</li><li>Facility is STEMI and Stroke certified</li><li>Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 1900-0730)</li><li>Weekend shifts required per department needs</li><li>No on-call responsibilities</li><li>Floating within the hospital required based on census</li><li>Uses EPIC for documentation</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active CA RN license required in hand at time of consideration</li><li>Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS</li><li>CPI and TNCC certifications preferred</li><li>Minimum 2.5 years of experience in a large Level II trauma center required</li><li>Epic charting system experience required</li><li>Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line care</li><li>Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, and ABG interpretation</li><li>Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation monitoring</li><li>Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management</li><li>Experience in triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and orthopedic trauma care</li><li>Experience with neuro-trauma conditions such as CVA, ICP monitoring, and traumatic brain injury preferred</li><li>Experience with pediatric trauma cases such as head injury and near drowning preferred</li><li>Experience with gunshot wounds and traumatic amputation preferred</li><li>One professional reference required within the last 2 years</li><li>Current Nursys verification required, pulled within 2 weeks of consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide emergency care across a combined adult and pediatric population in a high-acuity trauma setting</li><li>Respond to shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, and orthopedic trauma</li><li>Manage cardiac monitoring and emergency response for dysrhythmias</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply if they meet the required experience threshold</li><li>Previous permanent staff at the facility are not eligible to apply</li><li>Time off must be pre-approved and submitted at the time of consideration; no additional time off can be added afterward</li><li>Holiday time off is not guaranteed and will be reviewed separately closer to the holiday season</li><li>Local candidates are accepted at a lower rate</li></ul>
