<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Jul 6, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery &amp; Postpartum) position in Colorado, requiring at least 1 year of LDRP experience and night shift availability with weekend commitments.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>12-bed LDRP unit with 1 C-section room in an acute care hospital (Trauma Level III)</li><li>Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet care</li><li>Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: 1:1 for laboring patients, 1:2-3 for couplets</li><li>Approximately 300 births per year</li><li>RNs are required to titrate Pitocin and Magnesium drips</li><li>Charting is done in Epic (experience required)</li><li>12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)</li><li>6–9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule</li><li>Schedule is set by unit leadership for 6-week blocks; travelers are expected to remain flexible to fill scheduling gaps</li><li>All time-off requests must be submitted before the assignment begins</li><li>May occasionally be asked to participate in the holiday rotation</li><li>Low-census call is rarely required</li><li>Floating is uncommon, but in extreme circumstances travelers may float within Zone 3 facilities</li><li>The unit occasionally takes overflow mastectomy patients; orientation to these patients is provided</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active CO RN license or Compact (NLC) license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted</li><li>Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring (or C-EFM), and NRP</li><li>Minimum 2 years of RN experience required</li><li>Minimum 1 year of LDRP experience within the last 3 years required</li><li>Must be comfortable with antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient care</li><li>Triage experience required</li><li>Must be comfortable circulating and recovering C-sections</li><li>Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility (driver's license used to verify permanent address)</li><li>Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire</li><li>Driver's license required for consideration</li><li>Prior travel nursing experience preferred</li><li>BSN not required</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Unit orientation consists of 1–3 preceptored shifts</li><li>Clinicians must be physically present in state during the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely</li><li>Blue hospital scrubs are provided</li><li>Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible — candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered</li><li>Travelers are expected to secure housing that supports floating within their assigned zone if needed</li><li>First-time travelers are not explicitly preferred — prior travel experience is preferred by the facility</li></ul>
