This was a very busy level 2 trauma facility. In the interventional radiology angio suite the same call team was on for body and neuro at the same time. The staff was very nice but all the doctors did expect the patients to be deeply sedated for procedures other facilities do not sedate for at all. They did update all the rooms recently so all the monitors and machines are new.

Surgical techs practicing outside their scope of practice. There are no anesthesia Techs. You are responsible for checking anesthesia machine, placing/moving ekg leads, blood pressure cuff, setting up anesthesia circuits, A-Lines, suction, restocking anesthesia cart and anything else the want and need. There is also no environmental services so you are also responsible for cleaning your room in between cases (most times they don’t even mop the floor….disgusting). You have to call down for supplies and they send it up on a dumbwaiter which can take a while. Supplies in core are not organized well and like items are not together making it harder to find things. Some staff are really nice and others are downright condescending, rude and even sabotaging. They try and make you look bad in front of surgeons and other staff. I consider this bullying. There are a few staff members who go above and beyond to help you. I had a really hard time adjusting to the culture at this facility and would not recommend or go back. Traveler BEWARE!!!
