Good ICU to work in with varied patient population. Adequate staffing, fair assignments, plenty of resources, always get your breaks. Rarely float to floors and only act as a resource if you do. A little nitpicky on charting requirements but once you get used to their requirements it's not bad. Epic, Pyxis, Plum IV pumps, any color scrubs, free on site parking.

ICU staff is great, decent hospital, but management extends into a micro level—going so far as to call night shift RNs with >10 yrs experience to instruct on how to take care of a patient at 11pm. Management was just snooping on the admissions and saw a particular type of patient was coming in—she would have called no matter who the RN was. If you desire autonomy, look elsewhere. If you want a manager always there and always willing to tell you how to do your job, work dayshift at this hospital. Just kidding, both shifts are susceptible! I believe management means well, but it’s almost nauseating. (I average 2-4 contracts a year for the last many years).
