      <p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor &amp; Delivery position in an acute Family Birthing Center, requiring a current CA RN license and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in an acute Family Birthing Center with L&amp;D, Mother/Baby, and LDRP services</li><li>Unit includes 2 OBED beds, 7 LDRP beds, 4-8 overflow postpartum beds, and 1 OR for C-sections</li><li>Approximately 70-80 births per month with antepartum testing</li><li>Patient ratios: 1:2 in labor, 1:1 at delivery, and 1:4 for mother/baby couplets</li><li>Neonatal stabilization available with NICU support (2 bed)</li><li>Uses Cerner EMR and Fetalink EFM system</li><li>12-hour day shifts, every other weekend required</li><li>First to float; floating required to other Sacramento facilities</li><li>On-call or standby may be required with a 30-minute response time</li><li>Scheduling is 4 weeks in advance</li><li>Primary responsibilities include labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, antepartum care, and OR circulation for C-sections</li><li>Nurses are expected to respond to emergencies and manage titratable drips as needed</li><li>No CNAs on unit; 1 OB Tech scheduled per shift</li><li>OB is in house 24/7; anesthesia available on call with in-house coverage during epidural use</li><li>Respiratory therapy attends every delivery to provide support and manage respiratory equipment</li><li>Holidays rotate with core staff</li><li>Relias Dysrhythmia exam and skills testing on sterile technique are required during orientation</li><li>Scrub color requirements are not specified</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li></ul>

      <ul><li>Active CA RN license required</li><li>Minimum 2 years of recent Labor &amp; Delivery or LDRP nursing experience</li><li>Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring</li><li>Experience circulating in the OR is required for L&amp;D-only candidates</li><li>Must be comfortable with NRP at delivery and able to titrate pitocin and insulin drips</li><li>Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred</li><li>Must provide 2 recent supervisor or peer references (one within 12 months, one within 3 years)</li><li>Copy of driver’s license required for consideration</li><li>Candidates cannot have worked for CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity) within the past 12 months</li></ul>

            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in an acute Family Birthing Center with Labor &amp; Delivery, Mother/Baby, and LDRP beds</li><li>Unit includes OBED, LDRP, overflow postpartum beds, and an OR suite for C-sections</li><li>Handles 70–80 births per month and frequent NST antepartum testing cases</li><li>Typical ratios are 1:2 for labor, 1:1 at delivery, and 1:4 for mother/baby couplets</li><li>NICU available with 2 beds for newborn stabilization; preterm patients under 35 weeks are transferred to higher level care</li><li>Shift is 12-hour nights with every other weekend and holiday rotation with core staff</li><li>RNs may be required to float to other local facilities as needed</li><li>May be placed on-call or standby for scheduled shifts with a 30-minute callback expectation</li><li>Cerner EMR is used, and experience is preferred</li><li>RNs are responsible for labor support, delivery, postpartum couplet care, and assisting with C-sections</li><li>No CNAs; an OB Tech and charge nurse or nurse shift manager are available every shift</li><li>OB physician is on-site 24/7; anesthesia is on call and present as needed for epidurals</li><li>Respiratory therapists attend all deliveries and handle any required respiratory support</li><li>Must be able to manage emergency situations and titrate medications as needed</li><li>Will participate in a team environment focused on safe, family-centered perinatal care</li><li>Sterile technique testing (Foley/central line) and Relias Dysrhythmia exam must be passed during orientation</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Active CA RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted</li><li>Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in LDRP or solid L&amp;D experience with OR circulating</li><li>Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN/EFM) certifications</li><li>Experience with titrating pitocin and insulin drips required</li><li>Must be comfortable with NRP at delivery due to absence of in-house pediatric coverage</li><li>Two professional references: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months and one reference (peer or supervisor) from within the last 3 years</li><li>Copy of driver’s license required for consideration</li><li>Must not have been employed by any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility in the last 12 months</li></ul>
