      <h2>Job Description</h2>
      <p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor &amp; Delivery role in an acute care Family Birthing Center, requiring a current CA RN license and advanced fetal monitoring skills.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in the Family Birthing Center, including Labor &amp; Delivery, Postpartum, and OB</li><li>High-risk unit with LDRP model and couplet care responsibilities</li><li>10 L&amp;D beds, 12 postpartum beds, 2 C-section OR suites, and 6 triage/antepartum beds</li><li>Handles 100-150 births per month with varying patient acuity</li><li>Ratios of 1:3-4 couplets, 1:1-2 for L&amp;D, and 1:1-3 antepartum cases per AWHONN guidelines</li><li>Required to circulate C-sections and care for patients from start to finish</li><li>Night shifts (12 hours), every other weekend required, holidays rotated with staff</li><li>First to float among travelers, may float to other Sacramento-area facilities mid-shift</li><li>Cerner EMR is used for charting; experience preferred</li><li>GE Corometric monitors for fetal surveillance</li><li>OB hospitalist in-house 24/7; neonatologist on call 24/7</li><li>Must be comfortable managing all aspects of LDRP from triage to delivery and postpartum</li><li>OB surgical techs are available on the unit</li><li>Charge nurse typically does not take patients but provides support and break relief</li><li>Scrubs are provided by the facility</li><li>Must pass Relias Dysrhythmia and sterile technique testing during orientation</li><li>Candidates may not have had direct employment (full time, part time, or PRN) with any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year</li><li>Holiday coverage is assigned based on rotation with unit staff</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration</li><li>Minimum 2 years of recent Labor &amp; Delivery experience</li><li>Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications required</li><li>Must be competent in couplet care, LDRP, circulating C-sections, and titrating Pitocin drips</li><li>Ability to interpret fetal monitoring and EKG strips (for moms in PACU)</li><li>Must provide two professional supervisory or peer references: one from within the last 12 months, one from within the last 3 years</li></ul>
