 American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for home health and hospice care in a day shift setting.
 
 <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
 <ul><li>Work in home health and hospice settings serving the Southern Black Hills region, including Hot Springs, Custer, Edgemont, Hill City, Hermosa, and surrounding areas</li><li>Provide care to a patient population ranging from early adult to geriatrics with conditions such as CHF, COPD, DM, cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, dementia, and general weakness</li><li>8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with no weekends or on-call requirements</li><li>Uses EPIC for documentation</li><li>Department includes a multidisciplinary team with RNs, LPNs, OTs, PTAs, SLPs, aides, MSWs, and case managers</li><li>Main responsibilities include assessing, planning, and providing therapy to medically complex and rehabilitation patients in their homes and hospice settings</li><li>Typical orientation lasts approximately 1 week and includes EPIC training and shadowing</li><li>Office is closed on 6 major holidays; manager approval required for time off</li><li>Any color scrubs or business casual attire accepted; denim and sweats not permitted</li><li>Free parking available</li><li>First-time travelers will be considered</li><li>No local travelers permitted; candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius</li></ul>
 
 <h2>Requirements</h2>
 <ul><li>Current SD PT license required if applicable</li><li>Active BLS certification required</li><li>Minimum of 1 year of recent physical therapy experience</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required</li><li>General PT skills including evaluation, medical assessment, determining interventions, and care plan development</li></ul>
