I trained new nurses about 95% of the time. They had no structure in their orientation so I began to train them how I was trained. A lot had been training for months and almost done. However, the established staff wanted me to hold their hands and train with heavy guidance. There were staff that wanted to micromanage and had a big argument with a surgeon that wanted me to practically go up into the unit for a previous patient that was having issues. I was there for the patient currently having surgery and that was my main focus! There were 8 people training when I got there and I'm aware of maybe 1 that stayed. Management didn't really care though they were very busy. They will also reduce your contact amount if you want to extended. Trinity health in Columbus is all around very bad so don't go to Mt carmel east either because it's even worse.

I didn't get orientation and the staff were very unprofessional

Very unsafe for patient safety with insects in the OR and poor sterility practices also the culture is very clique based no support from management when bullying and harassment is brought to there attention

Unsafe, dirty ORs. Some very abusive, disrespectful surgeons, on call staff  basically used to run ORs 24/7 regardless of whether or not cases are true emergencies/urgent. However, Staff (RNS, ST, Anesthesia and ATs) are amazing, working their butts off trying to keep it together.
