      <h2>Job Description</h2>
      <p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown position with charge nurse capabilities and advanced cardiac monitoring experience in Minnesota.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in a Stepdown unit at a critical access hospital designated as a Level IV trauma center</li><li>Patients include cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, post-surgical, and complex medical cases such as CHF, A-Fib with RVR, DKA, ETOH withdrawal, ARDS, pneumonia, sepsis, delirium, and a variety of surgical cases</li><li>Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 for all shifts</li><li>Required to work every third weekend on 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a)</li><li>Floating to Med/Surg and various departments as needed, including affiliated hospitals</li><li>No on-call responsibilities</li><li>Epic (Excellian) is used for electronic charting and experience is required</li><li>Specialized equipment includes NICOM and Nihon Kohden monitors</li><li>Will be required to function as a charge nurse when needed</li><li>Will assist in the management of patients undergoing special procedures such as central and ART line insertion and cardioversion</li><li>Team includes support for various critical and complex cases involving rapid intervention</li><li>Navy blue scrubs are required</li><li>Parking is free in any unrestricted space</li><li>Ideally, requested time off should not exceed 5 days</li><li>Returning employees must have a 3-month break from their last perm or per diem shift</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Active MN RN license or eligibility for a pending license</li><li>Minimum of 2 years experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown</li><li>Charge nurse experience is required</li><li>Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required; NRP is preferred</li><li>Experience in cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and use of Rapid Response Teams</li><li>Experience with IV therapy including arterial and central line management, blood product administration, starting IVs, and PICC line care</li><li>Proficiency with Epic (Excellian) EMR required</li><li>Candidates must live more than 100 miles from the facility</li><li>First-time travelers are not accepted</li></ul>
