<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Sep 8, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3>American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift position at a critical access facility requiring at least 1 year of L&amp;D experience.<h3>Details</h3><ul><li>,facility hospital setting with a Level 4 trauma center designation and 19 total staffed beds</li><li>Labor and Delivery unit providing care across triage, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn stages</li><li>LDRP work setting with facility births averaging fewer than 100 per month</li><li>Patient ratios of 1:3 during days and 1:2-3 during nights and weekends with an average daily census of 1-2</li><li>Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7p-7a</li><li>Weekend rotation required, ideally every other weekend with consideration for every third weekend</li><li>No on-call responsibilities</li><li>May float within scope outside of the OB unit to support patient care, such as serving as a mental health patient watcher or assisting with vital signs, toileting, and repositioning on medical/surgical units, with no direct patient assignments outside OB</li><li>Open to block scheduling arrangements</li><li>Uses Epic (Excellian) for charting</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active or pending MN RN license accepted</li><li>Required certifications: BLS and NRP</li><li>Preferred certification: AWHONN Intermediate</li><li>Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required</li><li>Epic/Excellian charting experience required</li><li>Must be able to care for all aspects of labor and delivery including triage, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care</li><li>Required skills: Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) and IV starts</li><li>Preferred skills: Charge Nurse experience</li><li>Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care across all stages of the birthing process</li><li>Scrubs provided by the facility</li><li>Free parking available in any unrestricted space</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li><li>Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible, as locals are not accepted for this position</li><li>RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days</li><li>Previous employees must have a 3-month gap since their last shift worked in a per diem or staff role</li><li>Compliance requirements include Minnesota state-mandated fingerprinting, which may require travel to a LiveScan location if not available locally</li></ul>
