<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 19, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Labor &amp; Delivery RN for a critical access hospital, requiring at least 1 year of L&amp;D experience and current BLS and NRP certification.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Labor and Delivery unit within a critical access, Level 4 trauma facility with 19 staffed beds and under 100 births per month</li><li>LDRP care model covering triage, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care</li><li>Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7p-7a)</li><li>Patient ratios: 1:3 during days, 1:2-3 on nights and weekends, with average daily census of 1-2</li><li>Every other weekend required, with flexibility to every third weekend considered</li><li>No on-call responsibilities</li><li>May float outside OB scope to support med/surg patients (VS, toileting, repositioning) or serve as a mental health/safety watcher, without taking a med/surg patient assignment</li><li>Epic (Excellian) EMR experience required</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active or pending MN RN license required</li><li>Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required</li><li>Required certifications: BLS and NRP</li><li>Preferred certification: AWHONN Intermediate</li><li>Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) and IV start skills required</li><li>Charge nurse experience preferred</li><li>Must be able to care for all aspects of labor and delivery including triage, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care</li><li>Documentation required for consideration: date of birth, SSN, copy of certifications, Nursys verification, and RTO</li><li>Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Scrubs provided by facility</li><li>Free parking available in any unrestricted space</li><li>Candidates must complete required pre-start modules prior to starting</li><li>MN state-mandated fingerprinting (LiveScan) required, which may require travel if not near an approved location</li><li>Background check must not have any open cases to proceed</li><li>Returning staff must have a break of at least 3 months since their last shift worked as perm staff or per diem</li><li>RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li><li>Local candidates are not accepted; a 100-mile radius from the facility is required</li><li>Facility does not provide references for travelers post-assignment or for former perm employees</li></ul>
