Management is not your friend there , was given a final just to satisfy a upset patient for something I didn’t do and had a coworker present with me for the event , coworkers talk a lot behind each others backs and throw. Each other under the bus , nurse ratio is 1:6 and tech ratios are 1:16 sometimes 1:32

Felt like highschool here. Everyone was always gossiping about everyone and when you stay out of it and keep to yourself your basically out of the cool kids table. They make you do way more than your job duties. Your the ONLY OR nurse during call on the weekends. So your charge nurse, ancillary support and even PreOp nurse as well. Anesthesia providers are definitely catered to hand and foot so expect to be anesthesia tech or even their personal assistant. Equipment is always malfunctioning so brush up on how to fix and hook up everything since it’ll be you and only you on weekends. I’ve known 4 travels who have worked there and they all say it was the worse facility they’ve ever been at.
