<body><h3>Respiratory Therapist - Registered</h3><br/><p>Overview Eligible for a $10,000 Sign On Bonus with a 3-year work commitment! OSF will invest in you day 1! Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive a bonus of 40 hours of Paid Time Off frontloaded on day 1. This is in addition to our generous PTO plan! Starting pay for this position is $29.61/hour; base pay offered may increase based on experience, skills and internal equity. This position also includes an night shift differential of $4.00/hr and a weekend differential of $3.25/hr. POSITION SUMMARY: The Respiratory Therapist works in accordance with evidenced based policies and procedures of the Medical Center with all patient populations. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by the prescribing physician that is appropriate to all the ages of the patients served. In accordance with established policies and procedures, administers medical gases, medications, airway clearance, mechanical ventilation, other respiratory modalities, monitor levels of supplies and equipment for department and patient care areas. Applies theoretical knowledge to care of neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with other members of the healthcare team by demonstrating competence in respiratory skills, problem solving, and critical thinking that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Successful completion of respiratory therapy program from an accredited school. • Must be a credentialed Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care. • Must have a current Respiratory Care Practitioner license and current National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentials if credentialed after July 1, 2002 or a new graduate therapist must successfully pass both the NBRC TMC (The Multiple Choice) and CSE (Clinical Simulation Exam) exams. Proof of Application must be made for appropriate state licensure before orientation to the department can begin. Licensure must be obtained within six months of hire for new graduates per the Licensure Practice Act. • Must have basic electronic medical record documentation skills. • At SJJWAMC Pontiac; Respiratory Therapists must obtain ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications within six months of hire. Providing such professional Advanced Practice services. Maintaining the consistency and quality of all services provided to the Practice and its patients. Maintaining full and current patient medical records, including reports of all examinations, procedures, and other services performed by Provider or other support staff. Exercising diligence in assisting the Ministry CEO in keeping costs of the Practice to a minimum while maintaining a high level of quality care for patients. Providing a truly personalized, patient-centric experience to patients of the Practice and the OSF Hospital aligned to the patient's preferences, goals and needs. Position is M- F with time split between OR and Clinic Call - Phone Call 1:3 Sign On Bonus - $10,000 for eligible new placements.
