Honestly I loved this place, I only left to start traveling but the people are awesome and they give pretty good bonuses as incentive pay. The acuity is pretty high if you’re into that you’ll def get to see a lot of stuff and the docs like to teach.

<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 26, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor &amp; Delivery position requiring NJ or compact RN license and circulating/scrubbing for C-sections.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Labor and Delivery unit assignment</li><li>Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)</li><li>Every other weekend required</li><li>1:6 patient ratio, may float to facilities with higher volumes</li><li>Required to float within a network of five hospitals based on staffing needs</li><li>May be required to float to the High-Risk Obstetric Unit (HROB)</li><li>Epic EMR experience required</li><li>Circulate and scrub for C-sections</li><li>Block scheduling not permitted</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active NJ or compact RN license required, verified via Nursys within 2 weeks of submission</li><li>Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required, with BLS not expiring within 30 days of assignment start</li><li>Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required</li><li>Epic charting system experience required</li><li>Must pass dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing (PC required, iOS not compatible), limited to two attempts</li><li>Must complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing</li><li>Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide labor and delivery nursing care including fetal monitoring, high-risk delivery assistance, and postpartum care</li><li>Scrubs provided by the hospital</li><li>One winter holiday and one summer holiday coverage required</li><li>RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after submission will not be accepted</li><li>No RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment</li><li>First-time travelers accepted but not preferred</li><li>COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with no exemptions</li><li>Local rate applies to candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility</li></ul>
