The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.What you will do in this role:<ul><li>Help create a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes, while ensuring adherence to standards of care. </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served. </li><li>Manage all staffing needs and personnel management including interviewing, hiring and training new staff members. </li><li>Oversee care of patients on unit, providing consistent support and expertise to staff. </li><li>Perform duties in accordance with unit specific standards of care and evidenced by completion of a competency skills check list. </li><li>Maintain overall workflow of unit by ensuring proper staff levels. </li><li>Manage and coordinate all unit activities including safety procedures, unit goals and department operations. </li><li>Handle patient, visitor, or physician complaints promptly and in a professional manner. </li><li>Provide leadership, coaching and counseling to department employees. </li><li>Collaborate with other disciplines and departments to improve patient care delivery. </li></ul>What qualifications you will need:<ul><li>Associate’s Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.</li><li>Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required.</li><li>1 year of related clinical experience required.</li><li>Prior related clinical leadership experience strongly preferred.</li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) required.</li></ul> Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge.
