Management is terrible..Very short staffed even with travelers. Maintenance and qc not performed on equipment which leads to instruments not working properly.

If you’re looking for high acuity this place is not it. The MICU is like an LTAC, mostly newer nurses, and very complacent in pt care because they get more CON(SI/HI) and drug and alcohol cases than anything, out of 12 rooms might have 2-3 on vents and/or pressors. 

SICU has a great team and culture, a lot of vascular cases and prob like 3-5 hearts a week. Impella, IABP, CRRT, EVD, MTP, etc but hold a lot of overflows and keep their hearts there forever like 4-6 days on average.
