Great staff, schedule is 4 days 9 hrs no matter what the listing says. Hospital is right on the sea so you can walk the trail and eat lunch by the ocean. Safe area. Cardio staff is great, floor nurses are not.

The people are wonderful but….the facility is not willing to give the night shift (1 person on night shift) help. You run the entire lab (including blood bank and micro set up and blood cultures) alone! Then have to stop what you’re doing to draw blood on medsurge 1 or 2 and ICU along with possible phsyc ward draws. If ER has a stat then you have to leave the patient your drawing, run to lab to do the stat and go back to the patient you had before. It’s crazy busy at this hospital and there should be a phlebotomist on nights to help. The pay was decent but Maine is very expensive!! I travel in a 5th wheel and could only find a KOA to stay at 1 1/2 hours away (this was during winter season though) so I worked 3 x12s and drove 1 1/2 to get there….i was ready to leave! The people really are great but the circumstances were not!!
