      <h2>Job Description</h2>
      <p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a CA license and critical care certifications for a night shift contract.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in the ICU/CCU department of a hospital setting</li><li>Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00 - 07:30)</li><li>Patient population includes critical and multi-system organ failure cases</li><li>Potential to float to DOU, Tele, or Med Tele units as needed</li><li>Every other weekend coverage is required</li><li>8-week contract with option to extend</li><li>Responsibilities include management of critically ill patients, including those with CVA/acute stroke, renal failure, and requiring advanced monitoring and support</li><li>Must be able to assist with chest tube insertion/removal, procedural sedation administration, and emergency medications</li><li>Care for ventilated and post-surgical patients is required</li><li>Pre-assignment completion of required specialty modules is mandatory</li><li>RTO cannot be taken within the first two weeks and is capped at three days during the contract</li><li>Holiday coverage is required</li><li>Dress code and further orientation details to be provided prior to start</li><li>Local candidates are accepted at the same rate</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Active CA RN license required at time of consideration</li><li>Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required</li><li>Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, MAB or VIP, and NIHSS</li><li>Proficiency with FloTrac/Vigileo, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and advanced cardiac monitoring</li><li>Experience with ventilator management, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), BiPAP/CPAP, and hypothermia protocols</li><li>Ability to manage arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, start IVs, and administer cardiac/vasoactive drips</li><li>Skill in phlebotomy and wound care including wound vacs and surgical wounds</li><li>Competency in infection prevention and isolation precautions</li><li>References from professional supervisors within the past 2 years are required</li></ul>
