Pay isn't very competitive at all. Raises are low but they happen yearly. Off and on they offer doubletime to staff but its hit and miss. They're short often but they try to hire travelers to compensate staffing. It is a Leapfrog A+ rated hospital though and I do feel like staff works well together. Things would be better if the company wasn't so cheap. Employees would feel more appreciated if they were compensated better.

The med surg patient ratio for night shift is always 6 patients to one nurse, with frequent flexing up to 7 patients to one nurse. Day shift takes 5. The med surg floor takes PCU patients while maintaining said ratio, creating an unsafe environment. Contract pay changes mid contract.
