<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Aug 10, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Telemetry night shift position requiring NV RN license and a minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Work in the Medical and Telemetry unit of a Level II Trauma Center hospital</li><li>Patient population includes CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, PNA, COPD, and COVID cases</li><li>Care for post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and downgraded OHS/ICU patients</li><li>Administers non-titratable cardiac medication drips such as Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro</li><li>3x12 night shift schedule with 36 guaranteed weekly hours</li><li>No on-call requirements</li><li>May float to ICU, medical-surgical units, or Renown Regional based on competency level</li><li>Uses EPIC EMR system with training available during orientation or option to test out</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active NV RN license required prior to start</li><li>Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications required)</li><li>Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required</li><li>Must pass a telemetry competency exam including rhythm strip identification and measurement</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide individualized nursing care across the full episode of care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients</li><li>Coordinate care with other professionals and involve family/caregivers in assessment and care planning as appropriate</li><li>Work in a fast-paced Level I trauma-equivalent volume environment serving a 500-mile radius</li><li>Facility is a Level II Trauma Center with Stroke accreditation and 800 in-patient beds</li><li>May be required to float to other units based on organizational needs and competency level</li><li>Required to work major holidays, with a minimum of 2 major holidays required per contract</li><li>May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period</li><li>Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and occasional call shifts</li><li>Facility may cancel shifts with 48 hours notice for low census without penalty</li><li>Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered</li><li>Returning travelers must have a 13-week break after ending a previous contract before reapplying</li><li>Blocked scheduling is not permitted</li><li>Any requested RTO must be submitted at the time of application</li></ul>
