Rochester General Hospital's Respiratory Therapy department is fairly well run as far as management is concerned.  The staff, however, is very jaded and toxic, so watch your back for sure!

This hospital is unorganized and unappreciative of help from travelers and from their own staff.

Poorly Managed

Mid level management was very good. Some staff were horrible, lying about travel nurses and making up stuff. Upper management did not listen to traveler”s side of the story- believed stuff that staff nurses said. Toxic work environment. Most staff very unsupportive

Usually it's a just cause culture. My experience at Unity Hospital when someone was noticed to be diverting was the opposite of what was to be expected. As a licensed professional you are to be cautious in the safety of others. Well when there was a person diverting and trust me, it was obvious to all that was around, no one said anything. Well now I know why, because it brought too much attention to a failing system and when attention was brought to the red carpet, C- suite or administration, the department manager's solution was to use a sledge hammer thinking it would get rid of the problem. Rather then making the needed adjustments to prevent diversion, they got rid of the awareness. When indeed, per oath, the awareness is to be encouraged. So, the feeling was . . . Those who know too much and don't turn the other way -wind up getting wacked. So much for following mandatory protected statutes... Not soo protected when it's a right to work state.
