Great place to work if you’re a traveler. They’ll give travelers shifts that permanent staff have requested and pay them 3-4x what staff gets paid. 

Nice environment to work in though, and people are very nice and helping for the most part. 

Travelers. It’s a great gig. Permanent staff, just make sure it’s the right fit for you especially if you take a sign on bonus.

      <p>American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with ARRT registration, CT certification, BLS (AHA), and at least one year of specialty experience.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in a diagnostic radiology unit completing a variety of X-ray procedures</li><li>Patient population and case types consistent with general diagnostic radiology</li><li>Schedule consists of three 10-hour shifts and one 9-hour shift per week, with day and evening hours</li><li>Shifts may include Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday or Saturday</li><li>Utilizes Epic EMR for charting</li><li>Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required for assignment</li><li>Perform radiographic procedures as ordered, including positioning, immobilizing, and transferring patients</li><li>Operate X-ray equipment and practice radiation safety measures according to protocol</li><li>Administer contrast as directed by a radiologist following established protocols</li><li>Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and radiologists</li><li>Evaluate image quality and coordinate examination workflow for timely patient care</li><li>Supervise and mentor student radiographers in the clinical setting</li><li>Compliance with sterile technique, infection prevention, and department supply management is expected</li><li>Permanent staff must be separated from any related facility for at least one year to be eligible</li></ul>

      <ul><li>Active ARRT registration and CT certification required</li><li>Current BLS (AHA) certification required and must not expire during assignment</li><li>At least one year of experience in radiology required</li><li>Epic EMR experience preferred</li><li>License required if applicable</li></ul>

<p>Job Summary:-In this position, the Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures in order to obtain desired radiographic results according to physicains specifications that includes, but is not limited to, transferring patients for examinations, ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, and assisting with the x-ray examiantion process.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-Diagnostic X-Ray Procedures.-Responsible for appropriate operation of all X-Ray Imaging and related equipment.-Appropriately educates, positions, immobilizes and performs X-Ray procedures.-Coordinates X-Ray examination to ensure timeliness, quality and continuity of patient care.-Understands and follows provider Imaging orders correctly.-Submits required images and related clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation.-Appropriately evaluates image quality.-Open, accurate, and responsive communication to patients, coworkers, Radiologists and leadership.-Appropriately utilizes, charges and maintains department supplies.-Practices sterile technique and follows infection prevention policies.-Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.-Safely performs X-Ray procedures including patient transfer.-Prepares and administers contrast according to Radiologist protocol.-Follows Radiation Safety Measures (ALARA) to ensure patient and staff safety.-Supervises and evaluates Student Radiographers in the clinical setting."<br /> </p>
