<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Nov 2, 2026</li><li>Length: 16 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at a rehabilitation medical center, requiring a WA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Medical Surgical unit within a rehabilitation teaching hospital</li><li>Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00</li><li>Patient ratios of 1:6-8</li><li>Weekend shifts required, minimum every other weekend</li><li>Floating required between units and possibly sister facilities nearby</li><li>No on-call requirements</li><li>Epic EMR used for charting</li><li>Scrubs of any color accepted across all units</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration</li><li>BLS certification required</li><li>Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required</li><li>Epic charting experience required</li><li>Experience with cardiac monitoring, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care</li><li>Skilled in respiratory care including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management</li><li>Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use</li><li>Experience with rapid response/code team protocols</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg setting, including emergency response and rapid response team support</li><li>Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)</li><li>Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius or accept a lower bill rate if local</li><li>Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li><li>Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside the 50-mile radius</li><li>Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting</li><li>RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-submission requests may not be granted</li></ul>
