OT not allowed for travelers. travelers get canceled or floated first if “overstaffed or census doesn’t support”. only 1 phlebotomist at night for all floors so they only draw 1 out of 5-6 of your patients AM labs. traveler friendly (more travelers & float pool than staff nurses). typically only have 5 patients on a medsurg floor sometimes 6. sometimes no support staff (tech/cna) on nights depending on which floor you’re on.

      <h2>Job Description</h2>
      <p>American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced with GE equipment and ARRT certification to deliver quality imaging in a dynamic medical setting.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room settings</li><li>Fast-paced ED environment with independent work required</li><li>Operate GE CT equipment</li><li>10-hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.</li><li>Rotating call schedule: one week every 5-6 weeks, including weekdays and 24-hour weekend coverage</li><li>Performs CT imaging exams, intravenous contrast injections, and general radiographic procedures following safety guidelines</li><li>Responsible for preparing and cleaning equipment and scanning areas, and transporting patients as needed</li><li>Completes clerical tasks and maintains accurate patient care documentation</li><li>Performs and logs equipment maintenance and follows departmental quality assurance protocols</li><li>Educates patients and families about procedures</li><li>May be asked to assist in developing procedural techniques and training new staff</li><li>Regular attendance at staff meetings and departmental in-services is expected</li><li>Expected to adhere to ethical, collaborative, and team-based care standards</li><li>Not open to local candidates within a 50-mile radius</li><li>Onboarding includes pass/fail EKG test on first day with study guides provided</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Valid ARRT(R) certification and BLS required</li><li>VA Radiology License required if applicable</li><li>Minimum 1 year of CT experience required; 2 years preferred</li><li>Experience with GE CT equipment required</li><li>Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field</li><li>Must live more than 50 miles from the facility</li></ul>
