OT not allowed for travelers. travelers get canceled or floated first if “overstaffed or census doesn’t support”. only 1 phlebotomist at night for all floors so they only draw 1 out of 5-6 of your patients AM labs. traveler friendly (more travelers & float pool than staff nurses). typically only have 5 patients on a medsurg floor sometimes 6. sometimes no support staff (tech/cna) on nights depending on which floor you’re on.

      <p>American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist with ARDMS or CCI registration and at least one year of inpatient experience to perform a variety of cardiac ultrasound exams.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in a hospital setting with both inpatient and outpatient schedules</li><li>Average daily caseload of 8-10 cases covering all ages</li><li>Day shifts available with 4x10 or 5x8 hour schedules</li><li>On-call required for one week every 5-6 weeks, including a weekend in that period</li><li>Outpatient work Monday through Friday; inpatient only on weekends</li><li>Equipment used includes GE VE95 ultrasound systems</li><li>Conduct transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography exams according to protocols</li><li>Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear instructions to minimize anxiety</li><li>Administer imaging enhancement agents as per department policies</li><li>Access and update patient records using hospital EMR</li><li>Must pass EKG testing on the first day of assignment, with two attempts permitted and study guides provided</li><li>Compliance with infection control, safety standards, and patient confidentiality is required</li><li>No candidates will be considered if residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility</li></ul>
