OT not allowed for travelers. travelers get canceled or floated first if “overstaffed or census doesn’t support”. only 1 phlebotomist at night for all floors so they only draw 1 out of 5-6 of your patients AM labs. traveler friendly (more travelers & float pool than staff nurses). typically only have 5 patients on a medsurg floor sometimes 6. sometimes no support staff (tech/cna) on nights depending on which floor you’re on.

<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 5x8hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Mar 2, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced MFM Sonographer with ARDMS OB/GYN certification and at least 2 years of recent high-risk OB/MFM practice experience.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Position is based in a busy Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic supporting high-risk obstetrics imaging</li><li>Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts from 7:45 am to 4:15 pm</li><li>Patient population consists of high-risk obstetrics cases</li><li>Procedures include detailed fetal anatomy scans, growth scans, biophysical profiles (BPPs), Dopplers, and advanced perinatal imaging</li><li>May assist with ultrasound-guided surgical procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling</li><li>May travel between clinical sites within the assignment as needed</li><li>Scrubs without branding are permitted</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine or high-risk OB/MFM sonography required</li><li>ARDMS OB/GYN certification required</li><li>BLS required</li><li>ARRT certification required if applicable</li><li>Detailed experience supporting high-risk obstetrics imaging required</li><li>Experience with fetal monitoring equipment and GE ultrasound machines</li><li>Ability to respond to emergency call back may be required</li><li>NT/Nuchal Translucency certification preferred</li><li>Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Perform advanced obstetric, fetal, and gynecologic diagnostic ultrasound examinations and assist with invasive diagnostic procedures</li><li>Provide patient education and support throughout examinations in a collaborative perinatal environment</li><li>Support the daily operations and accreditation requirements of the sonography lab</li><li>Testing on EKG will be performed on the first day, with two attempts allowed and study guides provided</li><li>Must adhere to infection control policies and use appropriate personal protective equipment</li><li>Responsible for quality control of imaging and accurate documentation of procedures</li><li>Participate in team communication and patient scheduling as needed</li></ul>
