<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 5x8hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Sep 7, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a night shift position requiring 1 year of acute OR experience and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>&gt;Works in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting</li><li>Night shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 11:00 PM-7:30 AM, Sunday-Thursday</li><li>No on-call or floating requirements</li><li>Cares for patients across the lifespan from newborn/neonate through elderly</li><li>Performs cases in General Surgery, Laparoscopic, GYN, GU, Orthopedic, Neuro/Spine, Crani, Trauma, Plastics, Procurement, ENT, Oral/Dental, Thoracic, Vascular, Endovascular, and Endoscopy</li><li>No transplant or open heart/intervention cases</li><li>Uses specialized equipment including Cell Saver, Rapid Transfusion, ACT, Glucometer, MAKO, Stealth, Holmium/Lumenis Laser, and DaVinci Robot</li><li>Utilizes Epic and SBAR charting systems, transitioning to Omnicell</li><li>Night shift RN functions as the only RN in the department during shift</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li> </li><li>Active RN license (NH State or Compact) required</li><li>BLS certification required; ACLS preferred</li><li>Minimum 1 year of acute Operating Room experience required</li><li>Experience required in Ortho, Neuro, GYN, General, Bariatrics, Podiatry, and Urology cases, with priority given to Ortho, Neuro, Podiatry, and Cysto experience</li><li>Additional experience preferred in vascular, ENT, and breast/plastics procedures</li><li>Skills required include ALIF, anterior cervical fusion, cervical fusion, kyphoplasty, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion, XLIF, ankle fusion, bunionectomy, arthroscopy, closed and open reduction of fractures, total joint replacement, and cystoscopy</li><li>Da Vinci Robotics and Mako Surgical System experience preferred</li><li>AHA or Red Cross certifications only accepted</li><li>Professional references required for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li> </li><li>Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties</li><li>Serve as the sole RN in the department during night shifts, requiring strong independent clinical judgment</li><li>First-time travelers are welcome to apply</li><li>Any requested time off must be added to the end of the contract to complete the full assignment length</li><li>Candidates who have previously worked as employees at any facility within the associated health system are not eligible for this position, regardless of when they were separated</li><li>Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a reduced local rate</li></ul>
