      <p>American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist with a NY license and ASHA CCC to provide adult swallowing therapy in an outpatient setting.</p>
      
            <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
            <ul><li>Work in an outpatient clinical setting specializing in adult patients</li><li>Primary focus on treating patients with swallowing difficulties, including those with diagnoses such as stroke and Parkinson’s disease</li><li>Care for several end-of-life cases and medically complex adults</li><li>EMR system used is Sunrise</li><li>Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm</li><li>Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of swallowing disorders and developing care plans for adult and end-of-life patients</li><li>Ciel blue scrubs required as facility dress code</li><li>Local candidates are accepted within a 60-mile radius at a reduced rate</li></ul>
          
      <h2>Requirements</h2>
      <ul><li>Current NY Speech Pathologist License required if applicable</li><li>Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required</li><li>Minimum of 1-3 years of experience providing speech therapy to adults</li><li>Ability and experience in diagnosing and treating adult swallowing disorders</li><li>Two professional references from previous managers required</li></ul>

            <ul><li>Position is in an acute care hospital setting</li><li>Shift is from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with rotating weekends</li><li>Patient population includes newborns as early as 26 weeks gestation</li><li>Work may involve care in the NICU for candidates with the appropriate background</li><li>Main duties include evaluation and treatment of neonatal and pediatric patients</li><li>Candidates with experience and certification in NICU will be prioritized for neonatal assignments</li><li>Compliance with hospital modules and orientation is required before assignment</li><li>Local candidates within 60 miles are eligible to apply at a reduced rate</li><li>Renewal receipts and scheduled course dates are accepted for expiring licenses or certifications</li></ul>
