<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs</li><li>Hours: 36 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Jul 20, 2026</li><li>Length: 13 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Springfield, VT, requiring charge experience and the ability to provide PCU-level care in an adaptive acuity unit.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM</li><li>Standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 on the Med/Surg Tele unit</li><li>Unit operates as an adaptive acuity unit; travelers will occasionally be required to provide PCU-level care at a 1:3 ratio</li><li>25-bed unit within a small critical access hospital</li><li>Charge nurse responsibilities are required for this role</li><li>Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required as needed</li><li>Floating to any inpatient unit within scope of practice is required</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Active Vermont RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand</li><li>Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required</li><li>Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg Telemetry experience required</li><li>Charge nurse experience required</li><li>PCU/Progressive Care Unit experience strongly required</li><li>IV drip experience required, including insulin drips, esmolol drips, and sodium drips</li><li>Minimum 3 months of prior travel nursing experience required (non-negotiable; more is preferred)</li><li>ICU experience strongly preferred</li><li>Small critical access facility experience preferred</li><li>Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment</li><li>1 supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration</li><li>Current (within 1 year) skills checklists for PCU, Med/Surg, and Telemetry required for consideration</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>PCU-level care assignments are non-negotiable and may not be refused when requested by the unit</li><li>All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront; no more than 5 days of RTO will be approved, and requests made after submission will not be considered</li><li>First-time travelers will not be considered for this position</li></ul>
