Absolutely loved the coworkers in PICU. I still communicate and visit friends I met on assignment. They were wonderfully supportive and have since asked me to return. However a former regular staff nurse turned manager has decided she did not like me and has told my recruiter “she is not welcome back, we don’t want her back.”  This has STUNNED me as well as former staff I told. The staff are furious I have been treated like this given absolute rave reviews from patients families, coworkers, every charge, shift supervisor, and even doctors and init NP. Prime example how ONE “mean girl” can decide she doesn’t like you for whatever random reason and you are then personally and professionally punished moving forward. The fact other Sutter managers and supervisors do not even know this new supervisor has made this decision is astounding and demonstrates problematic, bullying behavior that goes unchecked within our profession. So sad to see a management group I once praised as seemingly different I now learn is just as bad as everywhere else.

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:
• CVOR Surgical Scrub Tech position with open heart surgery focus 
• 3 years of open heart surgery experience required 
• Pediatric cardiac and/or vascular hybrid experience preferred 
• On-call required with call requirement allowing for 40 hours per week 
• 1-2 weekend days per month required 
• 40 hours of orientation provided 
• Work with patients of all ages: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics 
• Operate in 4 CVORs: 2 adult, 1 pediatric, 1 hybrid/endovascular 
• 3 operating rooms available for procedures 
• Handle patient diagnoses including CAD, valve disease, and cardiovascular disease 
• Required certifications: BLS, CST, ACLS, PALS (must be AHA or American Red Cross) 
• Epic charting system experience preferred 
• Must maintain aseptic technique and follow universal protocol procedures 
• Responsible for equipment documentation, specimen handling, and sterilization processes 
• 2 years of experience required for submission 
• 50-mile travel requirement from facility location

Facility:
This major healthcare facility operates a comprehensive cardiovascular surgery program with state-of-the-art operating rooms specifically designed for cardiac procedures. The facility features four specialized CVORs including dedicated adult, pediatric, and hybrid/endovascular suites. The surgical team consists of 16 experienced staff members, and the facility handles a full range of cardiovascular cases from routine procedures to complex cardiac surgeries across all age groups.
