Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg

Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM 
• Weekend coverage every other weekend as needed 
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends 
• 2 years minimum experience required 
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA or ARC only) 
• EPIC charting system experience required 
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract 
• Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays with no RTO between Christmas and New Year's 
• Float to all medical surgical floors and potentially rehabilitation unit 
• 8 hours of orientation provided 
• 5-6 hours of pre-start modules required (billable) 
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility 
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac disease, stroke, CHF exacerbations, respiratory illness, arrhythmias, general surgery, orthopedic, COPD, and sepsis 
• Work in high acuity step-down intermediate care unit with continuous IV drips and cardiac monitoring 
• Manage pre/post cardiac procedures including catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and pacemaker/AICD care 
• No call requirements

<h2>Job Description</h2>
 American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a PA or compact RN license, with a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency in EPIC.
 
 <h2>Responsibilities</h2>
 <ul><li>Hospital-based Med/Surg unit</li><li>Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.</li><li>Every other weekend required</li><li>No on-call requirements</li><li>Must work 2 of 3 major holidays, with no RTO between Christmas and New Year's</li><li>Will float to all Med/Surg floors and potentially to rehab</li><li>May care for COVID patients</li><li>Uses EPIC for charting</li><li>Candidates must complete modules prior to start, which take approximately 5-6 hours</li><li>Work environment is tobacco and fragrance free</li><li>Must be able to care for both Med/Surg and rehab patients as needed</li><li>Expected to follow hospital policies regarding patient care and safety</li><li>A clinical assessment will be conducted prior to acceptance</li><li>RTO must not exceed 7 days for the contract duration</li></ul>
